Hey all!

Everybody here at Advanced Mycology (xüm/plür) has been working very hard to keep up with production and fulfillment and prepare for implementing the promises Judd made in his latest post (you can see that here). I wanted to pop in here with an FAQ for you on the XUM SPIRIT VAPE & BETA PROGRAM. Please check these questions & answers first, and comment below if you need more clarification.

The TL;DR:

  • We should start shipping the next round of original hardware pens by Monday September 28.
  • You should have an email this Friday about this if you’ve purchased one.
  • We’re working hard on this to make this special, the resolution to this matter is off system, and requiring extra manual work, please give us grace.

The XUM SPIRIT Beta Program is an exclusive preview consumer feedback program which gives you four vape pens: our original XUM SPIRIT BETA with original hardware (which had some issues) + 3 additional upcoming pre-release vapes over the next year. The 3 upcoming pre-release vapes are shipped to you before they’re available for sale to the public, and are included in the cost.

For $100 you receive:

  • 1 XUM SPIRIT BETA Vape Pen (original hardware) shipped with an ice pack (no guarantee that it arrives intact at full capacity).
  • 1 SPIRIT oil vape pen re-release (name TBD, ETA before end of year 2026)
  • 1 SPIRIT dry material vape pen (name TBD, ETA before end of year 2026)
  • 1 SPIRIT Pod System vape pen (name TBD, coming in 2027)

The XUM SPIRIT BETA PEN will begin shipping as soon as possible – there’s some logistics we’re finalizing but current processing orders should be shipping by Monday September 28, and once we catch up on those we should be shipping within 2 business days for future signups.

If you already received a vape pen from our initial batch, or purchased one in backorder, you don’t need to sign up for this or spend any more money. We will email you about this. Check the other questions for more details.

We’re really sorry about that! If you already received a vape pen here’s the plan:

  • You will be getting an email (to the email you originally gave us when you purchased) that asks you to reset your password for your account on Xumtrip.com
  • We will apply a credit to your account for what you paid for your pen(s) plus 20% additional, which can be used on anything in our online store!
  • Credit should be applied to your account by October 1st, give our tech team a little room to get this done!
  • You are auto-enrolled in the XUM SPIRIT Beta Program – you’ve already received your first pen but you’ll receive all three of the new ones in the pre-release.
    • 1 SPIRIT oil vape pen re-release (name TBD, ETA before end of year 2026)
    • 1 SPIRIT dry material vape pen (name TBD, ETA before end of year 2026)
    • 1 SPIRIT Pod System vape pen (name TBD, coming in 2027)
  • If you received more than one vape pen, you have an equal number of enrollments in the Beta Program. So if you received 4 vape pens from us you’re going to be getting 4×3 more pens!
  • You do not need to email us to be enrolled. You should email us if you don’t get an email or credit from us by October 5th.

Good news, lucky you, doesn’t matter if your SPIRIT Beta pen is working fine, you still get automatically enrolled in the Beta Program, and get the same things listed in the previous answer. We would love you to share a review of the experience if the first pen(s) worked out fine for you!

You’ve got 3 options!

You will receive an email within 7 days with a form asking if you want to OPT IN or OPT OUT. We’ll explain in the email, but here’s the deal:

OPT OUT –

  • We send you a refund to your exact amount paid back to your original payment method
  • OR we send you a credit for the amount you paid PLUS 20%, which you can use on any item in our online store!
    • This credit will be applied within 7 days of confirmation and you’ll receive an email from Xumtrip.com asking you to reset your password to get into your account.
    • You can also update your mailing address in the account if needed.
  • You will not receive any XUM SPIRIT vape pens unless you purchase them separately in the future.

OPT IN –

  • No refund, no credit, but you are now enrolled in the XUM SPIRIT Beta Program.
  • You receive 4 SPIRIT vape pens:
    • 1 XUM SPIRIT BETA Vape Pen (original hardware) shipped with an ice pack (no guarantee that it arrives intact at full capacity).
    • 1 SPIRIT oil vape pen re-release (name TBD, ETA before end of year 2026)
    • 1 SPIRIT dry material vape pen (name TBD, ETA before end of year 2026)

If you pre-ordered more than one vape pen, you have an equal number of enrollments in the Beta Program. So if you pre-ordered 4 vape pens from us you’ll receive a total of 4×4 vape pens!

If you bought multiples of the backorder XUM SPIRIT and want refund/credit for some but want to keep one entry in the Beta Program, email us at su*****@**********co.com.

See the timeline in the first question, but we’re expecting both the oil vape and dry material vape to ship before the end of the year. We don’t have a timeline on the custom pod system but it’ll be in 2027.

Anyone who received a pen already (1000 people) are already in the Beta program.
Anyone who ordered a pen that said Backorder and didn’t receive it yet are automatically reserved a spot in the Beta program unless they opt out.
You’ll be okay. I promise.

We do not guarantee the performance of the XUM SPIRIT Beta Pen – we’ll send it to you because it was made with love and we want you to have the opportunity to see our vision. We hope you get to experience it as intended, but you don’t need to inform us if it didn’t work.

We are aware that the MET oil is leaking internally when shipping in heat. We hope the ice pack allows the pen to reach you intact, but we make no guarantees.

Because it is fragile, please do not leave the vape pen in a hot car or hot purse. Best to store your pen standing up in its box.

Whatever MET juice is in the chamber will be a powerful experience that you will get to experience before most of the rest of the world.

Actually, that’s entirely possible. That’s why they are pre-release units for you to review as our dear Beta Testers. We’re going to be doing a LOT of testing for these, we expect they will be solid, but you are the final review of these pre-release versions, before they become available for sale, so we’ll be looking forward to your constructive feedback! We want you to let us know if they have problems.

We’ll be issuing a credit for your purchase price + 20%. You’ll get an email about it!

We do appreciate all recommendations, thank you for sharing your thoughts. We do take that into account. We have a vision of what kind of products we release, how we want to present them, and where we want to go as a company, which has always been contrary to market trends. We’re consulting with our beta testers, as well as vape experts, to create the best customer experience we want to offer.

Beta Program membership is exclusive.
We’ll be generous and gracious with our customers. That generosity from us ends with disrespect, or anyone trying to take advantage of our grace.

We are problem solvers, open to constructive feedback.
Any hostile aggressive and toxic energy will be ignored and removed from our Beta Program, and possibly even banned from ever purchasing anything from us in the future.

There is no compromise with this.

Stay respectful with your feedback, and you’ll be fine.

We ship Monday-Saturday. We’re closed Sundays & holidays. USPS picks up at 4pm PST on weekdays and earlier on Saturdays. It can sometimes take a few days to scan packages in, but if you email us at su*****@**********co.com to let us know we’ll look it up and resend if it has gotten lost.

Please note – when we do ship out the XUM SPIRIT BETA vape pens, since they are being shipped with an ice pack we will not be shipping any product that contains tablets along with it. So if you order a XUM Personal Pack or Community Pack with the vape, they will ship separately. Moisture will impact the tablets, and we want you to have a good experience with all of our products.
